Saturday9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Sunday1 p.m. - 5 p.m.

The Library is closed Mondays

HOLIDAYS

The following holidays are recognized by the Library:

  • New Year's Day
  • President’s Day
  • Martin Luther King Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Veteran’s Day
  • Thanksgiving
  • Day after Thanksgiving
  • Christmas

DISCOVERY ROOM

It is to be understood that the use of the Discovery meeting room by any group does not indicate an endorsement by the library or the City of Seaside of that group.

ACCEPTABLE USES

The meeting room should be made available on an equitable basis, regardless of the beliefs or affiliations of the individuals or groups requesting its use.

No meetings of a commercial nature are permitted (where there is financial gain to any group or individual) excepting courses taught through the Community College or school system.

Political activity which includes posting candidate and/or measure advertising; petition signature gathering; campaigning for or by candidates is not allowed. The only exception would be a debate or forum where all sides of issues are presented. Personnel may not take part in any political activity during working hours.

Admission may not be charged by any group.

No merchandise shall be sold in the Discovery Room.

CARE OF THE DISCOVERY ROOM

Groups leaving the Discovery Room must turn off all lights, fans, air conditioner, and appliances in use.

The exterior door must be locked upon leaving.

There will be no smoking in the Discovery Room.

There will be no alcoholic beverages in the Discovery Room.

Failure to maintain proper care of the Discovery Room by a group will result in denial of future use.

EXHIBIT SPACES AND BULLETIN BOARDS

ACCEPTABLE USES

The Library bulletin board is for posting of non-profit or educational notices.

There will be no political campaigning or signature gathering posted.

Postings must be dated and will be removed after one month.

Art exhibits will be held with the approval of the Library Director.
