TERRY MATTINGLY: Tips for clergy who must deal with media

The Sunday service had ended and the Rev. Larry Kroon couldnt believe what he was seeing. A journalist was chasing Wasilla Bible Church members in the aisles, trying to convince somebody, anybody, to dish about his flocks most famous church lady. The craziness had started as soon as Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin became the GOPs nominee for vice president.

JEANIE MILEY: Be gracious about what you are given

Sometimes I back into being reminded about the things that really matter ... like gratitude. And sometimes I get pushed by discomfort back to the practice of gratitude. GOODFELLOW COMMENTARY: Work hard to get success with honor

GOODFELLOW AIR FORCE BASE Success without honor is like unseasoned food; it may satisfy your hunger, but it will leave a bad taste in your mouth. Joe Paterno Paterno has won more games than any other college football coach, with 383 wins and counting. It would be an understatement to say he knows something about success. His thought on success goes straight to the heart of the military ethos. Our achievements are valuable only due to the manner, due to the methods, that we earn them.
