JERRY MARSHALL: Do your part to help the greens stay green

We are quickly approaching the official days of winter and the courses are already starting to show that they are getting ready for colder weather. Our trees, plants, and grasses have natural defenses to the cooler days. Trees, other than evergreens, lose there leaves for protection. The reason they do this is so that when we get some warmer days during the winter months they will not get the false start up from the warmth and sunlight creating photosynthesis and telling the plant to start waking up, which in the middle of winter would be a bad thing.
