It’s through the help of individual donors like you that the library is able to fund innovative projects and programs. Give in person at any library location; securely online through PayPal (use link at right); or through the Mount Pleasant Area Community Foundation, which manages these three dedicated library funds:

Eckersley Library Fund

J. Dean Eckersley was a valued member of the Mt. Pleasant Community. He contributed to our community through participation in many organizations. The Eckersley Library Fund is designated to benefit the Veterans Memorial Library providing educational materials and programs to enhance the ongoing services at the library.

Friends of the Library Fund

The Friends of the Library Fund was established by former Friends of the Veterans Memorial Library President Donald Nagler. The fund was created to strengthen the community value of the library while encouraging residents to use the library’s many facilities and services. The Friends of the Veterans Memorial Library is actively dedicated to strengthening the library and thus the community by promoting public awareness, encouraging patron use of the library, and assisting the library with specific projects.

Kara’s Korner Preschool Library Fund

Kara’s Korner Preschool Library Fund was established in May 2014 by Kara’s family. The fund will support Kara’s Korner, located inside the Veterans Memorial Library, by funding preschool-focused books and materials.

The Edward and Marcia Schmidt Endowment Fund

Edward and Marcia Schmidt met in Greenville, where they both taught in the Greenville Public Schools. In retirement, both Ed and Marcia were very involved with Veterans Memorial Library. Their service with the library is a testament to their dedication to literacy and learning in the community. The Ed and Marcia Schmidt Memorial Fund was established as a permanent endowment fund benefiting the Chippewa River District Library System.
