The Library of Things is a collection of non-traditional items that complement the Chippewa River District Library mission to provide materials and services to educate, inform and entertain all of the people in the community.

Anyone aged 18 years and older, with a valid CRDL card and in good standing, may borrow up to two items from the Library of Things for up to three weeks.

Borrowed equipment must be returned in person, not the dropbox, in the container it was checked out in. The borrower will abide by the criteria set forth in the Loan of Library Materials Policy. Borrower is also responsible for replacement of damaged equipment. The value of each item is listed within the container of each item.


The library reserves the right to take a Thing out of circulation temporarily to use for library purposes (workshops, demonstrations, or other programs), or to repair a damaged item.
