CRDL Offers Computer Use Monday, November 2

Since Chippewa River District Library closed on March 16, many of you have asked when we’ll reopen.

We’ve got great news — CRDL will be offering appointments for public computer access beginning Monday, November 2. This means you can safely enter our Veterans Memorial branch to access a public computer in a private room for one hour. Printing will also be available.

How it Works

Make an appointment by calling (989) 773-3242, ext. 201.

Please arrive on time. A staff member will check you in for your appointment. Individuals with appointments will be asked some basic health screening questions before entering the library. They must agree to follow physical distancing guidelines and comply with the mask requirements. Disposable masks will be available for those who forget theirs. Mask are to be worn covering nose and mouth. This is for the safety of our staff and yourself.

Limited computers will be available due to physical distancing and time spent disinfecting computers and the surrounding areas.

There will be a time limit of one hour, and individuals may schedule one computer session per day per person. No browsing or other services will be available during scheduled appointments.

Teens and adults must attend appointments alone. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to use a computer.

We cannot offer computer assistance at this time.

Printing will be available.

When your time is up, please exit the building the same way you came in.

How We’re Keeping You Safe

Our first priority during this time is the protection of the health and well-being of our staff and patrons.

Our staff will receive daily temperature checks before being allowed to work and are required to wear face masks in the building.

Computers and the room they are in will be disinfected after each use.

During the first phase of our reopening, our library facilities will remain closed to the public, with the exception of public computer access by appointment. All in-person programs, community events, and meeting room reservations will remain suspended for the time being.
