How to Make a Loan Request through MeLCat

  1. Search Michigan eLibrary (MeLCat) to find an item available from another library.
  2. Click the “Get This For Me” link.
  3. Sign in to your interlibrary loan account by choosing your home library, then entering your barcode and PIN.
  4. Review the request form and click submit.

Borrowers who have overdue materials or overdue interlibrary loans will not be allowed to use the interlibrary loan service until overdue materials are returned and the fines paid.

Items will not be borrowed from libraries that charge.

Due to the varying renewal practices of other libraries, we cannot guarantee the renewal of items borrowed for CRDL patrons.

Patrons are responsible for any fees associated with requesting journal articles or photocopies.

The library retains the right to limit interlibrary loan requests to a reasonable number.

Patrons who utilize the interlibrary loan service are subject to all CRDL circulation policies.
