MATINEE BOOK CLUB
Did you make a New Year's resolution to do more reading? Well here's your chance. We have a fiction book club right here in Fairfield, and it meets at the library. We are the Matinee Book Club for folks who like thought-provoking fiction . . . and we meet the first Wednesday of every month from 1:00-3:00pm.
We take turns choosing the book that we will all read in preparation for the next meeting, then spend a couple hours in lively discussion, in the library’s Conference Room. Our February meeting is maxed out (12 people) but you can pre-register for March 4. February’s book selection is: Moon Tiger by Penelope Lively.
It's easy to join—just register in advance at the front desk, and get a copy of the book before you leave. The library already has copies of February's book, which will cost $2 (to cover the Interlibrary Loan fee). Once you have your copy of the book . . . you will have a month to read it. We look forward to seeing you in March!
