A Grand Strategy of Resilience:
American Power in the Age of Fragility is a 10-page article in the latest Foreign Affairs Magazine and the focus of today's discussion. The author is Ganesh Sitaraman, an American legal scholar. He is a Professor of Law at Vanderbilt University, where he has also been a Chancellor Faculty Fellow and the Director of the Program in Law and Government. He studies constitutional and foreign relations law.
Today's roundtable will take place in an outdoor setting at a local park, with plenty of fresh air and social distancing. (Next month, we'll provide an indoor location.) We will give each participant a free copy of the above article, which the moderator pulled from the September-October 2020 issue of Foreign Affairs Magazine. Please read the article prior to the meeting and arrive ready to share your reactions. Advance registration is required.
Articles are chosen to provide significant background about a current international relations issue affecting American foreign policy. Jon Beghtol, former history teacher-of-the-year and member of the Academy of Political Science, serves as moderator. To ensure that everyone has time to contribute to the discussion, group size is limited to 10 people. Register for this free session by calling the front desk, and a free copy of the article will be delivered to your curbside vehicle.
