History buffs, would you like to share your favorite books with like-minded readers in an outdoor setting, with plenty of fresh air and social distancing?

The library’s History Roundtable is a go-to place for connecting with others and exploring diverse perspectives whether your interest is in local, national, or international history. We are partnering with Fairfield Parks & Recreation during the closure to keep lively discussions going while also complying with social distance requirements. The group will meet at a local park.

To register and learn the location, please call the library's front desk at 641-472-6551 x2. We will limit group size to 12 to ensure that everyone can be heard in the time allotted.

Present whatever history book you are currently reading (even if you’re in the middle of a book) and enjoy a spirited dialog. In a readers’ circle, conversation inevitably covers the books presented plus other topics, so everyone walks away with inspiration for further reading. We look forward to seeing you! There is no charge for this program.
