Borrow from another library

Our library is connected to other libraries throughout the state. If you can't find an item in this library, ask library staff to help you get it from another library.

The Stacyville Public Library cooperates with other community agencies and local, state and regional libraries in sharing materials through interlibrary loan.

You may call or stop at the circulation desk to request interlibrary loan materials. You can request specific materials by title or author, or by subject matter for research projects. Allow about a week for the material to reach our library and be available for you to check-out.

There is no postage charge and no limit on items or information borrowed from another library. The loan period may vary and shall be set by the librarian so that the material may be returned to the lending library on time.

This is a great way to check out new authors and materials not available at our library. Students may be able to access books needed for class without having to purchase them.
