The Kleberg County Adult Literacy Council (KCALC) maintains a mutually supportive arrangement with the Robert J. Kleberg Public Library to provide free individualized tutoring services for adults age 17 and above who either function below a fifth grade level or who are not proficient in English. The South Texas Library System (STLS) provides funding to KCALC for needed materials, while the library serves as a base of operation. For more informaction regarding 'literacy' classes and schedules, please call the Literacy Coordinator's office during hours of operation.
