How can I access local history?

The Duncan Public Library has historical records in the Stephens County Genealogical Library, located at 301 N. 8th, Duncan Oklahoma, 73533.
         The Stephens County Genealogical Library's phone number is 580 255 8718.  They have extensive records for Stephens and Jefferson counties as well as state resources.  The SCGS
         is staffed by volunteers so hours of operation may vary but generally open at 9:00 Monday-Friday. 

          The Duncan Public Library has three databases searchers can use:  Ancestry.com, which has to be used inside our library, Fold 3, which contains Military Records, the Dawes Rolls
           and African American records; and Heritage Quest, which contains books and articles abour family histories, DAR records and more!  Heritage Quest and Fold 3 can be accessed
           from any computer with an internet connection and a PIN number.
