Summer Reading Programs
The Summer Reading Programs for children and teens occurs annually during June and July. They features special story hours and prizes for young readers as well as special activities and prizes for teens. Among the guests have been Ronald McDonald, Ozzie, the Sounds mascot, and Darth Vader.
Story HourWeekly story hours for preschoolers are held during the school year. Stories are read by the library staff and special guests.
ABC ClubAn ABC Club is held for four-year-olds during the school year. Sign-up is usually scheduled for the first week of August.
Teen ProgrammingActivities are held every Thursday night in the Teen Room for students in middle and high school. See the link to "Teen Topics" on the left for more details.
Stamp Club
Monthly meetings are held. Contact 822-3137 for more information.
Used Book SaleThe book sales are held in the Spring and December each year. Many titles, magazines, audios, and videos are offered for sale.
Star Gazing Members of the Cumberland Astronomical Society bring their telescopes to the library for a night of sky watching. Watch for times in newspaper, posted at the library and on this web site.
Book ClubThe Book Club meets the third Monday of each month at 6:45 p.m. at the library. New members are welcome. Please call for more information.
Chess ClassesChess classes are held for youth, 8 to 12 years old, each summer. Participants may register the same time as summer
