All Putnam County library branches re-opened Tuesday, May 19, 2020

at limited capacity for modified services and hours.

Temporary hours of operation will be open 10am 6pm Tues. – Sat. at most locations.

Bostwick Library will be open Tues. & Thurs. 12-6pm, Weds. & Fri. 1-6pm, and Sat. 10am-6pm.

Please note: magazines and newspapers will not be available.

As per the Governor's orders, we are limited to 50% capacity and you may be asked to leave if you have been in the building more than an hour and other patrons are waiting to come in.

Some computers may be shut off to ensure social distancing and some chairs may have been removed. WiFi is still available inside and in the parking lot and you are able to browse the shelves and check out materials. However, please practice proper distancing by remaining six feet apart or limiting the number of people in the aisles to two.

If any of the following applies to you, you may not enter the library building:

You are currently experiencing or have experienced in the past 14 days fever, cough, or shortness of breath.

You have had close contact with an individual infected with COVID-19 within the last 14 days.

You have had close contact within the last 14 days with an individual supsected of being infected with COVID-19, including individuals exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms.

You have traveled to an area that is under a Level 2, 3, or 4 travel advisory by the US State Department.

Appointments are encouraged but not necessary. Face masks are encouraged but not required. Book drops are open for returns. Curbside pickup of holds/reserve will also be available. Call your library for more details or to schedule a contact-free pick up. You can reserve materials online here at www.FunInPutnam.com. Just use the search bar at the top right and log in using your library card number. You will need a PIN number if you have not already set this up. You can call your library branch to update that on your borrower card profile.

Superintendent Dr. Rick Surrency recently announced that the School District will be expanding their meal services to students beginning March 30th, 2020 and will continue to provide this service for as long as 'Online and Home Learning' is in effect in Putnam County.

Breakfast and Lunch will be served from 10:00AM - 1:00PM. Meals will be prepackaged and distributed by drive-thru at select school parent pick-up/bus loop or pick-up at bus stops throughout the county to be consumed off site. Children must be present to receive their meal.
