Learning Library Survey

“Learning Library” is an experimental program for adults (18 and older). Possibly beginning later this year,  Learning Library participants will join seasonal, monthly guided scholarly and hands-on weekday trips (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.).

Examples of possible programs include guided tours of Iron County ghost towns, prospecting helps and hints, rock hounding and geode hunting, bird watching, desert flora and fauna identification, wild horse viewing excursions, and more. Each Learning Library event will be guided by a library-vetted scholar.

To cover Library costs, Learning Library participants will be charged a fee for each event. Fees for events may vary, but are expected to be $25 or under per person, lunch included.  To assure reservations, fees will have to be paid in advance. Rules and an equipment list will be provided on a trip-by-trip basis. Trips are limited to 12 people.
