Republican wins deal blow to Obama
R. Creigh Deeds concedes the Virginia gubernatorial race in a speech to supporters in Richmond Tuesday night. President Barack Obama had campaigned for Deeds only to see him lose by a decisive margin to Republican Bob McDonnell.Republicans inflicted a double blow on President Barack Obama's Democratic Party, winning gubernatorial races in two states that had backed him last year.

Republican Governor-elect Bob McDonnell waves to the crowd at his victory party in Richmond, Va., Tuesday. Unofficial results showed McDonnell, a conservative and former state attorney general, with about 60 percent of the vote over Democrat R. Creigh Deeds. Christie wins N.J. gubernatorial race

Body count rises at rapist's home

Thomas Stacho says four more bodies and a skull were found at the home, where the remains of six women were removed last week.  (Other)Remains of four more people were unearthed from the backyard of a rapist's home Tuesday, raising to 10 the number of bodies found in and near the house, police say.
