Our library is a Michicard member. Our patrons may borrow materals at nearly three hundred participating libraries throughout Michigan.

That means that if we don't have an item you need, you can go to any of the participating libraries in the state and check out books from them, be it Lincoln Township or Traverse City! Since our computer systems are not linked together, you will need to register with each participating library. Make sure the address and expiration date on your card is current.



Another way for you to get items from another library is to have them sent to us through Inter-Library Loan. If your card was issued to you by the Maud Preston Palenske Memorial Library, then you are eligible for our Inter-Library Loan service.

Search in the MelCat catalog for your item, and click on "Get this for Me!". You will be asked for your name and library barcode.

If you prefer, call or stop in to the library and make the request with a staff member. Please allow 1-3 weeks to receive the materials.

There is a limit of 7 requests per patron per week.
