Sumiton had their annual Water Fun Day on July 9 to finish up the 2013 Summer Reading Program.

The Summer Reading Program got to go on a field trip to the Birmingham Botannical Gardens on June 25. They took part in a scavenger hunt and saw the different flowers and plants that are part of Alabama while doing it.

Sumiton's Story Time got to hear stories about and make their own worms in their second program on June 13.

Sumiton Public Library had its 2013 Summer Reading Program Kickoff on June 4 from 5:30 to 7 p.m in front of City Hall. Kids got their faces painted, listened to storytellers, and even got to learn to plant vegetables and take their own plant home! Thanks to all the parents and volunteers that made this event possible.
