I Want To... Place a Hold

You can place a hold over the phone or through our online catalog. 

To place a hold over the phone, simply contact your local branch and a library professional will be able to assist you. Holds can be retrieved in person or through contactless pickup using our lockers. 

To place a hold using the online catalog follow these simple steps: 

1. Login in to your online account (for instructions click here)
2. Search for the item you wish to place on hold
3. Select the orange "Place a Hold" button (located under the item's title)
4. Choose your pickup location (either the Brunswick Library or Richardson Memorial Library)
5. Then select "Submit Hold"
6. Your item will the be retrieved by a library professional and you will recieve a notifcation once it is available for pickup
