Library Survey Results 2019

Dear St. Joseph community members and library patrons –

Thank you to everyone who took the time to fill out our recent Library Survey about services, materials, and location.   This past year the Library Board and staff have been intensively looking at the future of the library.  The survey was designed to help us assess where we could improve services to the community.   While there is always room for improvement, the survey results were a fairly resounding affirmation of support for the library, with a near 90% approval rating from survey participants regarding existing library services.  We were also pleasantly surprised to see that most survey participants are aware of the many different services offered by the library, confirming that The Maud Preston Palenske Memorial Library is a vital resource for the St. Joseph community and visitors to the area.   With annual visitation numbers of roughly 145,000, that’s a lot of positive impact the library is having in our community.

We are always open to your suggestions and feedback, even when we’re not running a survey.  Please feel free to email us at any time at publiclibrary@sjcity.com, or stop in and chat with a staff member.

We are honored to be a part of such a supportive community and we will continue to strive to fulfill the library’s mission of “serving our community with diverse resources and learning opportunities.”
