Phase 4 of our reopening plan began on Monday, June 29th.

PLEASE NOTE:  We will be closed on Friday, July 10th.

We continue to offer Curbside pickup:

Curbside pick up hours:
Monday-Wednesday-Friday: 12:00 - 4:00pm
Tuesday - Thursday:   2:00pm - 6:00pm

You may place holds online in the library's catalog or can call us at (269) 983-7167.  Limit of 10.

What you should know about returning books-

  • All items are being quarantined for at least 72 hours upon return before being checked out to anyone else.

  • The items will be removed from your account at that time.

  • Because we are quarantining items for a more than adequate amout of time and are taking every precaution, we ask that you do not use cleaning products on the materials.     Many products may damage the items.

Curbside Pick Up

Curbside Pick up

Here's how it works:
1)   Place your requests for titles.   You can do that online through the library catalog,  or by calling the library Mon-Fri at (269) 983-7167.   There is a limit of 10 items per card.

2)   When your item is available for you, staff will call to let you know.
       Our pick up times are:

12:00pm - 4:00pm

3)   When you are notified that the items are available, they will be checked out to you in advance. We are adding an extra week to allow time for you to pick the items up.    Then come to the library within 1 week to pick up the items during our pickup times.  We ask that you please do not come to the library until you have been notified that they are available.

4)  The Pickup area is on the east alley side of the building.

If driving,  please approach from the south (off Pearl Street, near Krasl Art Center) and proceed north.  Watch for signs.
If walking, come to the designated area outside the alley door near the outdoor book drop.

5)   If you have any library materials to return, please place them in the outdoor book return.  If driving, please approach the alley from the south (from Pearl Street, near Krasl).    Please note:  Items are being quarantined for 72 hours, and will be checked in from your account at that time.

6) We respectfully ask that you do not bring any donations at this time.  In the meantime,  you can donate to Better World Books.  They have a drop-off location at:  3125 Cleveland Ave, St. Joseph, MI 49085

Census 2020

Currently Berrien County's response rate is at just under 60%.   It is very important that we get the word out to everyone so that we get an accurate count.    Just a 10% undercount can drastically affect funding for a variety of services in our county.

If you or someone you know hasn't been counted, there are 3 easy ways….
1.       Online at
2.       By Phone – English 844-330-2020; Spanish 844-468-2020
3.       By Mail – a paper survey will be sent to you with return paid postage
