Welcome to our Children's Department.   We have story time, special programs and a summer reading program to entertain and educate children.    Our children's room houses books and materials appropriate for children birth through the 8th grade. We have books, movies, music, audiobooks, and toys.  We also have resources for parents and teachers.   Check out our computer lab, that includes special touch-screen computers designed with children in mind.   We have plenty of comfortable areas to sit and enjoy a book.   Many children like to play with our train table.   We have friendly and knowledgable staff who are willing to help you find just the right book.    Got a 4th-6th grader?  Check out our Tween Page.

It's Elementary!   The club for elementary kids.

This is a club -- just for 1st-3rd graders!     It's a monthly program with fun and games.   We will have a craft or activity at each meeting.

We meet on the (usually)  last Monday of the month,  5:30pm - 6:30pm.

Our Winter/Spring 2020 meeting schedule is:

January 27th - "My Michigan" dioramas

February 24th - "Chalk It Up" fun with chalk

March 23rd - LEGOS!

April 27th - "Art-stravaganza" arts and crafts stations

Babies, toddlers, preschoolers and school age kids!  All are welcome at our story time at the library.  It is a fun time for all ages.  There is always a semester theme and decor.  We read, laugh, dance, sing, rhyme and there is always a fabulous craft.   Storytime provides a foundation for building a lifelong love of books and reading.
